RJ O’Brien Building Contractors is a family run Construction Business with over 50 years’ experience in completing commercial and residential projects in Ireland. The management team at RJ O’Brien came to Insight as they decided to redeveloped their website and branding. RJ O’Brien recently added another side to their business offering an extensive range of new services including interior design consultations, project management, complete home redesigns, renovations and extensions.

 Insight Multimedia Web Design and Development Team were tasked with creating a brand new look and feel to reflect the changes in RJ O’Briens business services, to communicate the new direction that they have taken, offering additional complementing building services. Insight’s graphic design team created a ‘new brand look’ and a new logo to complement the new business direction. The chalange was to emphasise the fact that they now also offer focused, bespoke interior design while continuing their existing, established traditional construction services.  Over a two week period, the new logo concept and brand was evolved.  The new visual identity was a total success and embraced by all. Then with the new logo and branding signed-off,  the web development team set about developing a new website ‘look and style’ to complement the new company branding and communicating the new services that RJ O’Brien provide.

The site was built on a CMS (Content Management System) with a custom built frontend design incorporating a client login portal, custom web forms for quotations and the booking/payment of consultations and services. A custom “Mega Menu” navigation was also added to support a better User Experience (UE) and to improve the overall style, look and feel of the site.

The user interface (UI) was designed to adapt perfectly on all device types such as phone, tablet, laptop and desktop further aiding the User’s individual Experience and ease of use.
