Many arts and cultural venues, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours on this particular night to enhance public access. These locations host unique events and workshops explicitly programmed for the occasion, and everything is accessible free of charge.
From its modest beginnings in Dublin in 2006, Culture Night has evolved into a significant national cultural event, attracting around 350,000 visitors to various cultural spaces nationwide. The initiative has ignited public interest and the enthusiasm of artists and cultural organisations.
