The 2016 edition of the Cork Guinness Jazz Festival, Ireland’s most significant jazz event, will commence this month, from October 28th to 31st. This event is considered one of the grandest festivals to date. It is a collaboration between the Cork Jazz Festival and Guinness.

This year’s festival boasts a lineup of approximately 1,000 musicians from over 30 countries, performing at more than 80 venues across the city. Various Fringe events will contribute to a memorable weekend in Cork alongside these performances.

With expectations of drawing in around 40,000 music enthusiasts from across the globe, the Jazz Festival features some of the most prominent names in the genre. Past headliners like Ella Fitzgerald, Dizzy Gillespie, Dave Brubeck, Cleo Laine, and Chick Corea have graced the Cork Jazz Festival stage. In the spotlight this year are equally impressive jazz musicians, including Brian Deady, Booka Brass, James Taylor QT, and Bell X1. Get ready for an extraordinary weekend of jazz in Cork!
